Kickboxer and rugby player
We have had the pleasure of working with Izzy to support our performance nutrition goals, with a particular focus on fuelling training sessions to maximise output and recovery.

Izzy provided us with a clear, practical, and easy-to-follow nutrition guide, tailored specifically for daily routines over a 7-day period, and especially for competition days. This resource proved invaluable in helping us stay consistent, properly fuelled, and optimally prepared for both training and competitive events.

Throughout the process, Izzy demonstrated outstanding professionalism and a genuine commitment to supporting our objectives. Her guidance was not only evidence-based but also highly adaptable to our individual needs and schedule demands.
As a result of Izzy’s input, Reggy’s performance has continued to improve, both in training and in competitive settings. This progress has culminated in Reggy achieving the remarkable milestone of becoming a Double British Kickboxing Champion.

We highly recommend Izzy to any athlete or team seeking expert, supportive, and effective nutritional guidance.

I reached out to Izzy after a recommendation from my sister who has also worked with her. I had been training regularly in boxing and long distance running for years but felt I always struggled with energy levels and plateaued on building strength.
We had an in-depth discussion to get an idea on my background and habits and I recorded a food diary to share with Izzy to go towards my personal plan. I enjoyed the process and it was interesting to dissect my own relationship with food, my mindset has always been if I eat poorly a couple of times or have a week off exercise I will soon be obese.
Izzy helped me change my mindset with this and I've become more comfortable with the foods I eat and I've even re-introduced dairy into my diet without any issues. This is after mostly avoiding milk products for 10 years. I was also making suboptimal choices for fuelling, eating all my carbs in the afternoon and evening when all my exercise was done in the morning on an empty stomach! I've also increased protein intake that helped me build muscle mass faster than I had done previously, my energy levels increased immensely and I felt like I could go all day even after a hard workout in the morning.
Whilst injury has curtailed my plan I've been genuinely excited about getting back to the 'diet' and exercise to see where this can take me. After speaking to Izzy and going through this process I feel daft for not having done it sooner in life. I would recommend Izzy to anyone who is looking to improve their performance and most importantly their relationship with food.

I've been running long distances and strength training for a few years and thought I was ok when it came to my nutrition. But recently I've struggled with iron deficiency and had generally been feeling sub par so wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something important in my approach to nutrition. I'd been really busy and just didn't have time to wade through all of the information out there on nutrition and was hoping for some help in quickly figuring out which bits I could apply to my training. I was hoping for a few tips and a steer in the right direction.
It turns out that reaching out to Izzy was the single best thing I'd done for my health and wellbeing in a long time! A comprehensive form and in-depth chat about my eating and training habits, my goals and attitudes, followed by a food diary analysis meant that Izzy could not only give me personalised advice about what to eat and when, but also help me understand what had been holding me back in the first place. She went through all of her recommendations and observations with me to help me understand the changes I could make and followed up with me to see how I was getting on after a few weeks. It wasn't easy to shift my mindset but because Izzy took such a compassionate and encouraging approach, I was able to trust the process and within just a few weeks I was feeling better than I had done in months.
I am developing a much more positive relationship with foods I had been avoiding, which has made fuelling for and recovering from training much more effective and way less stressful. I feel noticeably more energised on runs and I was lifting more in the gym within just a couple of weeks, having felt stuck for a while! I'm even finding I can concentrate at work better!
I got far more out of working with Izzy than I imagined I would! Not only do I have a better understanding of what I can do to better support my training, and the sport I love, I am developing a much better relationship with my body and appreciating and respecting it so much more. Longevity in my sport is so important to me and delving into the 'whys' as well as the 'whats' of my eating is just what I needed to make sure I can support my body to do what I love well into the future. Thank you Izzy!!

After playing rugby for 30 years I decided to jump into the world of endurance sports. This was driven by the want to truly challenge myself in the name of charity with the aim to raise as much money as possible for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital to support the incredible work they do.
Being new to Triathlons, I immersed myself with as many information sources as possible, keen to learn about what I should be doing. This inevitably ended up with an overwhelming barrage of contradicting advice, especially around nutrition.
I reached out to Izzy after some really positive recommendations and was not disappointed with the initial consultation. Izzy really took the time to understand me, my challenges, my goals and even my relationship with food. This was done in a really friendly and supportive manner with the output being an extremely thorough and personalised nutritional advice report. Izzy took the time to run through this document with me and has been there on multiple occasions to further advise me on any queries or issues I had with my training and racing.
That document and Izzy's continued support has been paramount in me both training and racing effectively. It gave me a huge amount of confidence going into my races knowing I was fuelling my body optimally and I also managed to save a fair bit of money by cutting out some of the supplements that weren't helping me achieve my goals.
Izzy was brilliant throughout the whole time we have been working together and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Working with Izzy was the final piece of the jigsaw in my preparation for the Marathon Des Sables, and was critical in making sure I completed the event and achieved my goals.
From our first meeting it was clear Izzy had already researched the event and the challenges it presented, and she then took time to find out about me, my ambitions, and my relationship with food. She very quickly identified that during training I was simply not eating enough before, during and after my training sessions, and encouraged me and gave me the confidence to change my nutrition and ignore the scales. Her advice for me to stop weighing myself was a step change in my training and I found our dialogue liberated me from many of my old anxieties around food and nutrition. Izzy was also detailed and informed on the challenges on self sufficient nutrition while competing ultra distances in an extreme environment like the Sahara and was key to the final decisions I made on what to carry.
I completed the seven-day race well ahead of schedule, suffered no sickness or illness, and felt strong and energetic throughout as a result of the plan we developed. She was also great fun to work with and easy to talk to.

I’ve been working with Izzy for a couple of years now and her knowledge has been paramount to my success on court as a professional athlete, as well as more recently while recovering from a serious injury.

One to one meetings enabled us to develop game day strategies from pre-game prep to post game recovery, which led to immediate improvement in energy levels throughout games as well as effective recovery.

We have also had monthly skin-fold checks since my surgery which has really given me tangible goals to reach and pushed my commitment to nutrition throughout the recovery process.

With Izzy’s help I feel confident that I am on the right track and look forward to continuing the working relationship as I progress to return to sport.

I’ve been working with Izzy since the beginning of the year. When we first started working together, my knowledge was very limited and Izzy has helped educate me and improve my level of understanding so I can make informed choices when it comes to nutrition for training & competition as well as keeping a balanced diet for health. The biggest thing I have taken away is learning how to fuel my training sessions accordingly, as well as learning what kind of foods I need to be eating to best aid recovery.
I’m looking forward to continuing work with Izzy, as what she has taught me so far has been invaluable to my performance.

Izzy's support, knowledge and guidance allowed me to prepare for my best swimming challenge yet - the English Channel with 5 months preparation. Working with Izzy allowed me to be more efficient with my time, saving me months of trial and error. Izzy also transformed how I fuel training, making me realise how important it is to fuel each training session effectively.

Caradon Swim Club: Izzy produced a clear and informative presentation on nutrition in sport. The content was perfect for our younger swimmers (10-12) with the option to answer questions to extend know for our older swimmers.
Izzy was professional and presented in an engaging and passionate way.

I came to Izzy with some issues around my eating habits. Training had upped substantially, I was fatigued and felt anxious about a lack of capability in the kitchen, something I felt ashamed to admit as a woman in her 30s! I found the idea of having to think about making nutritious food quite daunting coming from a traditionally pasta bake/Bolognese household. I also have some issues around eating well as a result of the early 2000s diet culture and had been trying to overcome that myself.
Izzy took the time to understand my thoughts and feelings towards food with great professionalism and made everything simple and easy to understand without making me feel like I should know anything. She pitched the knowledge perfectly and has helped me to make putting food together feel like a fun activity rather than a chore. She’s super easy and approachable which is helpful when embarking on what could be a daunting task.
I use her ‘nuggets of knowledge’ daily to create better eating habits to support my continued sporting development and definitely feel like adding these skills to my armoury has contributed to my recent speed increases and ability to perform.
